The famous online casino and sportsbook Pinnacle Sports has just undergone a period of re-branding, as they have adopted the name everyone already knows them by, Pinnacle. With these efforts, they are trying to attract a larger audience and offer their members more than just sports betting. When they first launched in 1998, they were operating in the UK market, but in 2014 they left due to legislative changes. They are now looking to get back in by applying for a license.
Pinnacle Rebranded
Due to its recent rebranding, Pinnacle Sports has now simply become Pinnacle. They are still licensed out of Curacao and Malta for their online sportsbook and casino. This whole change came about when they were finally able to purchase the website, Pinnacle.com, from the previous owners; a Phoenix-based electronic components manufacturer. It isn’t only a change in name, but in many different areas as well.
They will be showing off their new logo, as well as corporate style. Most gamblers already referred to them as “Pinnacle”, and seeing as how they offer many other services other than sports betting, like a casino, live dealers, and more. Paris Smith, CEO of Pinnacle, has this to say,
“Our customers, industry peers, and team members have known Pinnacle Sports as ‘Pinnacle’ since we launched in 1998, so our rebrand is really just a natural evolution. We were already looking at refreshing the brand to reflect the growing family of betting verticals we offer beyond sports so when we had the chance to acquire the Pinnacle.com domain it was too good an opportunity to pass up”
People can now enjoy everything Pinnacle has to offer at their new website. Now that they have been rebranded, they are now looking to get back into the UK market.
Looking for UK Gambling License
Now that they have acquired a new website, changed the layout of their business, and with it, a new logo to represent them, Pinnacle has expressed their desire to get back into the UK market after they left in 2014. They have stated that they are applying for a new license with the UK Gambling Commission by the end of 2016.
On top of getting a new license to once again offer their services in the UK, they are also looking forward to launching their native mobile app. With all of these factors combined, Pinnacle is looking to dominate the European and international sports betting and online casino market.
