Casino goers are preparing for not one but two new casinos to open this summer in Atlantic City. One of the casinos to be offered is the Ocean Resort Casino, a venue taking the place of the former Revel Casino. The new property will offer a casino of course, along with hotel accommodations and more entertainment options. It was recently announced that the Ocean Resort will be offering a unique option to the Atlantic City Boardwalk with the installation of virtual golf.
Today, the owners of the Ocean Resort Casino announced they will be adding a Topgolf Swing Suite to their property, the largest in the world. The suite will include a lounge where players will be able to take part in virtual golf games plus a virtual putting green. Multiple sports games will also be on offer in an interactive setting.
According to Chairman of AC Ocean Walk, Bruce Deifik, no detail was overlooked as the new venue was being developed. The goal is to provide a quality guest experience with Topgolf providing cutting-edge entertainment as well as a memorable social experience that promotes competition and fun.
According to the Topgolf president, Ron Powers, the Atlantic City facility will be 26,000 square feet in size and will include 11 player bays. Each bay will have a 16 foot wide video screen where the virtual reality experience will take place. Players will be able to play golf along with other sports and the lounge can also be used in other ways such as viewing parties like with the Super Bowl.
It has not been revealed how much the installation of the Topgolf entertainment area will be, but it has been estimated that as much as $100,000 has been spent per pay. The facility in Atlantic City will be the largest the company operates.
